The crowd heard a good bit about next year's U.S. Senate race in Georgia, and three Republicans vying for the seat were in the room. "Close the border. Done. And the big beautiful bill is going to keep it closed," declared Derek Dooley in what may have been his first political speech to a high-profile audience.

JD Vance is expected to cast the One Big Beautiful Bill Act as a win for working families and to criticize Jon Ossoff for opposing it.

Usha Vance called Melania Trump a "role model" on Thursday for caring about children's welfare, referencing Mrs. Trump's letter to Vladimir Putin about protecting future generations globally.
