It was never pretty, but the Denver Broncos escaped Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London with a 13-11 victory over the New York Jets in Sunday's AFC showdown.
Jets quarterback Justin Fields was abysmal. He completed 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards and was sacked nine times, many of them on him for not getting the ball out quickly. The Jets looked scared to let him throw the ball for long periods of the game.
New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields took nine sacks in what turned out to be a dreadful loss to the Denver Broncos.
This sort of incompetent circus, unfortunately, isn't new to the Jets, who are well-accustomed to being a sideshow at this point in their existence. But ask veteran quarterback Justin Fields, he of a 14-35 career win-loss record, and the Jets can apparently still salvage something out of this lost season.
Below, we’ll go over Justin Fields’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 6.
The New York Jets are still winless under Aaron Glenn, and Sunday's performance against the Dallas Cowboys did nothing to suggest things are turning around anytime soon. The Jets dropped to 0-5 after a 37-22 beatdown at MetLife Stadium that exposed every crack in this roster.
Granted, the Cowboys have been one of the league’s most explosive offenses, but this was ridiculous, most of all late in the first half. The Cowboys scored two touchdowns in the final minute, the second of which came on a short TD pass from Dak Prescott to Jake Ferguson that was set up by a 66-yard run from Javone Williams.
