For the second time in less than two weeks, the Colorado Avalanche had a chance to gain ground on a wounded Minnesota Wild team. The first meeting was one of the Avs’ best performances of the season.

The Wild kept a high-powered Avalanche offense to the outside, for the most part, holding them to 11 shots through two periods. At one point, Colorado had just one shot over a 15 1/2 minute stretch. Minnesota was much better at exiting its own zone.
