“She had a lot of advice about reclaiming your voice and your narrative,” Knox told the publication.

The chills were inspired, Knox said, partly by Van Patten nailing her personality quirks: her occasionally singsong voice, the snort in her laugh, the cha-cha in her step.

“Some people are like, ‘Oh four years in prison, she’s doing fine.’ I notice that some people don’t really remember or realize that it was really, really bad,” she said.
