Birmingham to host 2028 NCAA men’s basketball tournament games at Legacy Arena
The National Collegiate Athletic Association announced Wednesday that the Southeastern Conference and the city of Birmingham have been selected to host the 2028 Division I Men’s Basketball First and Second Rounds at Legacy Arena. The dates of the NCAA Tournament games will be March 16-19, 2028.

More NCAA basketball tournament games are coming to Birmingham. According to a news release, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced Oct. 2 that the Southeastern Conference and the city of Birmingham will host the 2028 Division I Men's Basketball first and second rounds.

The men’s NCAA Tournament will have Kansas City, New York, San Antonio and Los Angeles host regionals in 2027. The next year, Raleigh, North Carolina, Detroit, Dallas and San Francisco will serve as hosts. Dayton will continue to host the First Four through 2028.
