A South Korean court on Tuesday approved an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol, the embattled leader who plunged the country into political chaos by his shock decision to declare martial law nearly a month ago.

South Korean anti-corruption agency says that a court has issued warrants to detain impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol and search his office.

A warrant for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol was approved by a Seoul court on Tuesday. Yoon is the first sitting South Korean president to face arrest.
