Cybertruck owners no longer have the option to pay more for a battery accessory to extend their vehicle's range.

Tesla (TSLA, Financials) confirmed it is no longer producing the Cybertruck range extender, a removable battery pack designed to boost the vehicle's driving range closer to initial targets. The extender was pitched as a solution after production specs fell short of expectations.

Official confirmation of its cancellation follows Tesla quietly removing the range extender from the Cybertruck online configurator last month, preventing interested consumers fro
