Hollywood star Margaret Qualley has revealed that the prosthetics she wore in the critically-acclaimed horror movie “The Substance” caused so much damage to her skin that it took about a year to recover.

Margaret Qualley says her skin went through a lot while filming 'The Substance.' On Josh Horowitz’s 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast, the actress opened up about the effects of wearing prosthetics for the film and how it impacted her skin.

"It took me probably, like, a year to recover physically from all of it," she told a podcast about the prosthetics used in the film.

Margaret Qualley is opening up about the long-lasting effects she suffered while filming for 'The Substance.' The actress, who plays Sue in the body horror film, recently shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that her skin was damaged for nearly a year after filming wrapped.

During the ceremony, she presented an award with her Substance costar, Demi Moore. Qualley was also nominated for Best Supporting Female Actor, Film, for The Substance, but the trophy went to Zoë Saldaña for her role in Emilia Pérez. A winning night for women supporting women in Hollywood, indeed.
