Lucian Grainge, CEO of Universal Music Group, slammed Drake’s allegation that he was personally behind the release and promotion of Kendrick Lamar’s chart-topping diss track “Not Like Us” in a letter to the court.

In the filing, Grainge notes that UMG spent “hundreds of millions” in supporting Drake’s music. He further states that he was too busy running the world’s largest music company to be “in the weeds” with Drake and Kendrick’s feud.

Drake is now pushing for complete access to Kendrick Lamar’s recording contract. The request draws attention to the specifics of Lamar’s business dealings with the label.
