Diablo 4 may eventually abandon its current battle pass system based on comments made by series GM Rod Fergusson.

Don’t expect it anytime soon though, even though Season 8 is delayed. While discussing Battle Passes in general, Diablo 4’s Rod Fergusson talked about the whole system being a little antiquated.

Blizzard is planning to remove Diablo 4 battle passes as the team believes they are a dated system that doesn't keep players interested.
