Beyoncé took home album of the year at the 67th Grammy Awards for "Cowboy Carter," the first time she has won the coveted award. After accepting the award, which was presented by members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Beyoncé said in the acceptance speech that she was humbled.

At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Beyoncé's speech was short and meaningful, not only thanking the Los Angeles fire department, who presented the award, for their efforts, but also thanking every songwriter, collaborator and producer who worked on Cowboy Carter.

The Recording Academy has worked to reshape its voting pool, but the triumph of “Cowboy Carter” as album of the year can’t be traced to any one factor.
