A crane accident has led to the closure of Interstate 70 on Monday. According to Columbus police dispatchers, I-70 East is closed at I-71 South in the Downtown area due to a crane hitting electrical wires on Sunday night.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. as crews were working on widening and reconstructing the roadways and rehabilitating bridges and ramps at the I-70/I-71 split.
