Josh Manson, who has one season remaining on a four-year contract he signed with Colorado in 2022, could have become an unrestricted free agent after next season.

Colorado signed defenseman Josh Manson to a two-year contract extension through the 2027-28 season, the team announced on Thursday. The extension is tacked on top of the final year of his previous four-year contract, as Manson is due to make $4.5 million in 2025-26 as part of that original deal, according to Spotrac.

The Colorado Avalanche and Josh Manson have agreed to a contract that will keep the blue liner in Denver for the next couple of years.
