Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has surveyed the damage in both Valdosta and Augusta and commented that it would take the state “a long time” to recover. Cities and towns across the Southeast are reeling in the aftermath of the storm, which left dozens of people dead, hundreds missing and millions without power.

Donald Trump is planning to visit storm-battered Georgia on Monday, and has criticized Kamala Harris for not doing the same.

Trump, the Republican nominee for president, spoke in Valdosta, Georgia, which saw damage from the storm. Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has cut her campaign visit to Las Vegas short to return to Washington for briefings.
