Ken Page, one of Broadway’s most familiar character actors who indelibly lent his voice to Tim Burton’s holiday film classic The Nightmare Before Christmas as the villainous Oogie Boogie, died Monday,

The St. Louis native also appeared on Broadway as Old Deuteronomy in ‘Cats,’ in ‘Ain't Misbehavin’ ’ and in ‘Guys and Dolls.’

His career on Broadway spanned decades. But he has probably best known for providing the voice of the boogeyman in “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
