England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold made his La Liga debut as Real Madrid earned a narrow win against Osasuna. The summer signing from Liverpool had played five times for his new club at the Fifa Club World Cup, where they reached the semi-finals, under new boss Xabi Alonso.

Real Madrid have played their first game of the season after beating Osasuna 1-0. Xabi Alonso's team will prepare to play their second La Liga game of the season against Real Oviedo away from home. The team will have a few players back for the game against Real Oviedo, such as Antonio Rudiger.
