BATON ROUGE — Brian Kelly opened his lone media availability during LSU football' s off week Tuesday afternoon following the team's practice saying he wasn't going to share much on the state of the team's health. "You're not going to get much from me on injuries this week," Kelly said with a smirk.

LSU freshman running back Caden Durham proved to be a critical piece of the Tigers' attack again on Saturday against South Alabama.

And while the questions aren’t going away after week three, the performance from true freshman Caden Durham gave reason for optimism. Durham proved to be a playmaker in LSU’s 36-33 win over South Carolina. He ran it 11 times for 98 yards, averaging 8.9 yards per pop. He forced seven missed tackles and 50 of those 98 yards came after contact.

Durham’s bull-like force didn’t stop there in LSU’s 42-10 win over South Alabama. The next offensive play, Nussmeier handed the ball off, and Durham powered through the middle for an 86-yard run. He was tripped up at the one-yard line, but set LSU up for another touchdown.

The true freshman running back propelled the Tigers to a Week 5 win, suffered an apparent foot injury in the first half.
