CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine did his part Monday to clear a path for a new domed stadium to be built for the Cleveland Browns in suburban Brook Park by budgeting $600 million from the state’s unclaimed property fund to cover a fourth of the cost.

The Cleveland Browns are closer to constructing a new, enclosed stadium after Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed late Monday night a state budget bill that allocates $600 million in unclaimed funds to the project.
