Tuesday was an important date in the offseason for all MLB teams: it represented the deadline to add prospects to their 40-man roster in order to protect them from the Rule 5 Draft. As a reminder, players first signed at age 18 or younger have to be added to 40-man rosters within five seasons or they become eligible to be drafted by other organizations.
