Teachers from New York or California who want jobs in Oklahoma will now have to take a special "America first" test to show they are not "woke indoctrinators."

Oklahoma will require applicants for teacher jobs coming from California and New York to pass an exam the GOP-dominated state's top education official says is designed to safeguard against "radical leftist ideology.

The test’s 50 questions will cover topics about US government, religion, and gender, according to examples shared by the office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, Republican Ryan Walters.
