May 10, 2021 · It takes a while for a new store to get found on Etsy. Jewelry in particular is very competitive. I took a quick look at your store and was happy to see that you had location and an about page and policies. Your photos looked good. Your prices looked reasonable.

Sep 16, 2020 · Just went through this a few days ago when I opened my shop. Etsy will "suggest" you make 10 listings to fill your shop during the startup phase. You don't have to though. You'll have to publish at least one listing to get through the store setup. After that, you can go to "listings" and you can deactivate the active listing you made.

I opened a store on Etsy today and immediately started receiving different messages from different senders with Etsy Support avatars that my store was suspended, need confirmation etc and I urgently needed to confirm my banking information. Received 6 different emails with links to a third-party site!

Sep 30, 2021 · Don’t do this. I got away with something tangential to this before I knew. My mother wanted to send a baby shower gift to a relative, and bought a keepsake box from my shop. I think we lucked out that the address it was sent to was not the one I have listed as mine, and the bank account was separate. Just my theories as to why it worked.
