Look - I suggest waiting until age 14. BUT - we need to be honest about the fact that curveballs are not the reason young pitchers get hurt. It’s them pitching five innings Friday, playing the field for two games Saturday, then being brought back by coach on Sunday to pitch three or four more innings. This is a longterm pattern that consistently leads to injury. Many kids get less rest than MLB players. | Dan Blewett
