I thank every woman who came before me who gave me the ability to choose to do domestic tasks. Without them I would be forced to. Women’s labor in the 18th century especially women’s labor in milliary encampments and on farms is often undocumented and underrepresented. It is my job as a historian to seek out the information and esure that the knowledge is not forgotten or overlooked.
