I’m not really a “crash video” guy and I’d normally never post something like this… but I’m sharing this for two reasons. 1. This is my friend Derek , and I’m beyond grateful that he and the 3 other souls on board survived what was a truly terrifying accident. 2. To all my helicopter pilot family watching this: things can go sideways in the blink of an eye. This is a reminder to stay sharp, stay humble, and never stop training for the unthinkable. High altitude power management training matters.
